IT PROJECT MANAGER
As Lindström’s new IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of any IT development related project. This includes setting project goals, timeframes, and budgets, as well as managing the project team to ensure projects are completed on time. You will be working closely with business stakeholders and different Heads of Project across several functions, and will also collaborate with relevant vendors. Your location will be at our Head Office in Kalasatama, Helsinki, where we are working in a hybrid model.
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as leader for IT project teams, as well as overall project management (setting goals, timelines, project plans, and budgets)
- Maintaining project timelines and resources, budget estimates, and status reports
- Communication and cooperation with business stakeholders during the solution development lifecycle
- Managing the collaboration between different vendors in the project
- Preparing for and participating in project steering
- Reporting project outputs and deviations to the steering group, as well as reporting decisions and guidance from the steering group to the project team
- Ensuring the appropriate sign-offs are obtained by relevant parties at the correct stages e.g. architecture and IT security in detailed design, production readiness before rollout
- Following proper project management and project portfolio management practices
- Proactively making sure the project will reach agreed targets and business value
- Supporting, coaching, and guiding the project team to ensure best possible results
We are looking for a new team member who has experience in IT project management, leading project teams, and taking care of all project related preparations, practicalities, and planning. Excellent organizational skills are integral in this role, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. The ability to prioritize tasks is important, as well as a result-oriented approach to work. Our ideal candidate has:
- A minimum of two years of experience in IT project management
- Excellent project management, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and cooperation skills
- Good leadership skills and experience in working alongside Heads of Project and stakeholders
- The ability to multitask and to work on several projects during same time
- Experience in working in business IT sphere and in a large matrix organization
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills, with strong Finnish skills seen as a benefit
- A delivery- and result-oriented approach to work
- Experience in working across borders in a multinational organization with international colleagues
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify dependencies and impacts in large and complex processes and system landscapes
