DEMAND PLANNER
As Lindström’s new Demand Planner you will gather, consolidate, and analyze information for the tactical and group demand plans to be used in supply planning needs. In this role you will work on demand plans both for new sales as well as for existing customers, and will also provide development suggestions to the management team on how to improve demand planning. You will also be working with the Lindström Group Sales and Operation Planning (S&OP) and Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) processes. Your location will be at our Head Office in Kalasatama, Helsinki, where we are working in a hybrid model, and you will be reporting to our Supply Chain Director.
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Gathering and consolidating weekly and monthly demand plans for new sales and existing customer maintenance needs
- Validating and analyzing demand plans based on current and previous trends and other relevant factors
- Giving feedback and support for business unit level demand planning on a regular basis
- Supporting and working together with Business Unit buyers
- Facilitating trainings related to demand planning and S&OP and S&OE processes
- Updating and reporting relevant demand planning KPIs such as demand plan accuracy
- Continually improving the demand planning strategy and processes, and providing management with development suggestions
- Working in close cooperation with the S&OP manager and supply planner in balancing demand and supply plans both in a short- and long-term time scales
- Continually supporting supply planning, product development, and procurement in product lifecycle management and other relevant areas
- Supporting customer project management in relevant issues
- Preparing demand plan analyses for management needs
- Acting as key user of relevant planning tools
We are looking for a new team member who has good skills in data analysis and a familiarity with relevant mathematical and statistical methods and tools. You can be at the beginning of your career or already have a few years of experience, and we will support and guide you along the way. Experience in demand planning, logistics, or procurement will be considered an advantage, and excellent people skills will be seen as integral for working with different stakeholders and for organizing trainings for colleagues. A proactive approach to work and an interest towards continuous learning and teaching others are at the heart of this role, and experience in working in a large international organization will benefit you. Our ideal candidate has:
- Relevant university degree or equivalent qualification
- Experience in demand planning, logistics and/or procurement is considered an advantage
- Good understanding of relevant mathematical, statistical, and analytical methods
- Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and experience in facilitating trainings
- Excellent collaboration and cooperation skills
- Analytical thinking and structured way of working
- A customer- and solution-oriented mindset, ability to multitask and work with tight deadlines
