We are looking for a

LIMS & System Specialist

to join our Laboratory Equipment and systems team in Kilpilahti, Porvoo.

Laboratory Equipment and Systems team supports laboratory functions. Efficient and realiable LIMS system is necessary for production and developing new technology.

In your role, you will 

  • Be the link between the stakeholders and Software provider’s designers and developers
  • Train and support LIMS users in Neste and external laboratories
  • Guide, develop and maintain best practises in  LIMS usage
  • Work closely with laboratory professionals to develop and maintain information flow
  • Coordinate Neste LIMS local and global user working groups
  • Perform data analysis and  system testing 

You will work closely with IT-organization, laboratory personnel and software provider to ensure fluent data flow, data integrity, LIMS development and best practises in LIMS usage. Our work combines accountability, cooperation, and the desire to develop and renew. Working safely at all times is essential to all of us.

We have a medium size team of experts working in Laboratory Equipment and Systems. Our team is responsible for laboratory instruments (investments, service), LIMS and laboratory intranet. We also develop laboratory automation, instrument life cycle management and we are constantly looking for opportunities for improvement. 

Keys to success in this role

The best combination of experiences, skills and background is 

  • Relevant education from university or applied university
  • Experienced in laboratory work, LIMS system, data handling and data analysis
  • Fluent in English
  • Basic understanding of quality and statistics
  • Communication and collaboration skills
  • Willingness to train and  help colleagues 

We also value

  • Experience from Labvantage LIMS, Oracle- and/or SQL-databases
  • Ability to communicate and turn complex data into readily understandable form
  • Ability to communicate in Finnish

The recruitment process includes interviews and aptitude testing. The first interviews are preliminary scheduled to take place on week 39.
The person selected for the position must pass a health examination including a drug test. A security clearance is obtained for the persons with their consent.
