As a Legal Trainee (specialized in GDPR) you will be responsible for the data privacy related agreements, confidentiality agreements and related legal affairs at M-Files Corporation. You will work closely with the company sales teams, quality management and the Head of Legal to process practical issues related to data processing agreements, confidentiality agreements and other related issues, being the first point of contact as well as providing required legal advice for the same. In this global role, you will report to Senior Legal Counsel, Head of Legal, and you will be based in Tampere (or Espoo).

In this role, your responsibilities will be:

  • Managing the data privacy and confidentiality agreement templates, and related instructions, tools and processes.
  • Providing legal advice for data privacy, confidentiality and related issues.
  • Advising and providing support in negotiations on data privacy, confidentiality and related issues as well as drafting and reviewing related agreements.
  • Collaborating with other functions as a first point of contact for questions related to data privacy and confidentiality.
  • Monitoring and keeping the business units advised of legislative changes on data privacy and confidentiality.

Requirements for the position:

  • Bachelor of Laws or student for Master of Laws or other relevant studies, preferably at least in the final stage of the studies.
  • Special interest in data privacy, confidentiality and related issues.
  • Problem-solving and business-driven mindset and approach to things.
  • Well-organized way of working.
  • Hands-on, highly motivated, and proactive attitude.
  • Ability to translate legal requirements and other complex issues into easy-to-understand business language.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and positive work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • Possibility to start latest on 2 September 2019 and to work full-time or at least 80 % of the weekly work time.

Experience in working with software and/or IT industry is seen as an advantage as well as some knowledge of GDPR and data privacy laws.
