Lecturers in Computer Science (three positions)
The positions are available at all levels of the Aalto University lecturer career system: University Teacher, University Lecturer and Senior University Lecturer. The positions are full-time and, depending on the candidate’s qualification, either fixed-term for 5 years or directly permanent. Lecturers have the possibility to advance in their career to a permanent position through a promotion review. The candidates are required to hold a doctoral degree. In addition, they are expected to have good teaching skills in higher education, with deep interest in teaching and working with students. In addition, we appreciate candidates who have carried out pedagogical studies and show interest in pedagogy. As part of the teaching is in Finnish, command over the Finnish language is considered a merit. Fluency in English is required, as well as good communication skills and team-work abilities. The annual working time for teaching and research staff is 1624 hours, of which Lecturers should allocate 50-80% to teaching, depending on the level of the career system.
