We are looking for a Lead Project Engineer (layout engineering) to our Environmental Systems Engineering team in Tampere. We design flue gas cleaning and heat recovery systems as well as odorous gas collecting systems for pulp, energy and industrial sector customers around the world.
As the Lead Project Engineer you are responsible for layout engineering in the project phase - you might handle the whole layout by yourself or you lead colleagues alongside your own work in bigger projects. Your main scope of work includes equipment arrangements, ducting and piping basic engineering. You will also communicate actively with steel structure engineering, piping detail engineering and sometimes with customer’s counterpart to ensure that all parts fit together. You will ensure that the planning and document deliveries related to layout are on time. You may also be involved in sales phase engineering.
We expect you to have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, and solid engineering experience from the industrial sector. You will need to be able to communicate in English. This position is based in Tampere, but you will also get to travel occasionally. Good IT and 3D-engineering skills are needed, and knowledge in AVEVA PDMS/E3D is an advantage.
You can understand complex products as a whole, but you also keep in mind the details affecting in the background. You can think several steps ahead and understand the cause and effect of the engineering choices you make, including cost and safety aspects. We appreciate a results-oriented team player with good interpersonal skills. You are able to focus on your work independently and make informed decisions.
