Lead Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for the experienced Mechanical Engineers to join our Equipment Engineering team in Lappeenranta. In this position you will lead and coordinate the mechanical engineering for the delivery projects and also coordinate engineering work with other engineering disciplines.

As Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, You will:

• Act in a Project Lead Design engineer or a Mechanical Discipline Lead engineer role in the delivery projects
• Organize and guide engineering reviews, and verify design drawings and other technical documentation
• Participate in and coordinate mechanical engineering work as a member of the project team
• Design mechanical solutions according to the project requirements
• Maintain product structures in PDM
• Prepare technical content for user manuals
• Participate in new technical solution drafting during sales or project initialization phase.
• Support other delivery project functions: procurement, manufacturing, assembly, testing, commissioning
• Grow to be an expert in Outotec's Filtration technology area

To succeed, you will need:

• A degree in technical education (B.Eng., M.Eng. or M.Sc.)
• Engineering background and 3D design experience are considered as an advantage
• Understanding of engineering tools: AutoCad, SolidWorks, and working with PDM system .
• Problem-solving mind set
• Capability to work independently and pro-actively
• Industrial mechanical engineering experience, 7+ years
• Good co-operation skills
• Ability to communicate in English
• Ability to travel occasionally to customer sites
