Lead Engineer / Design Engineer
Are you interested in seeing how the pulp mill comes into life? Do you want to be a critical link in the design while having an overview and understanding of the total plant?
Our Pulp Drying Technology Unit is part of the Pulp and Energy Business Line, which develops, sells and delivers equipment for pulp drying customers worldwide. The scale of projects varies between “turnkey” deliveries of complete plants, rebuilds or renovations of existing plants and single equipment deliveries.
We are now looking for a Lead Engineer, Plant Design as a permanent position to strengthen our Technology Unit team of professionals in either Ulvila, Raisio, Inkeroinen or Jyväskylä.
As Lead Engineer, you are responsible for coordinating the project’s plant engineering discipline, leading core & subcontracted engineering, and working closely with the procurement and other various project functions. Your diverse knowledge includes plant, piping, structural steel, pressure vessel, tank & tower engineering. Your typical day includes follow-up with team members and progress reporting. You will be a key participant in customer meetings and driving “best-in-class” customer solutions from the sales phase, continuing through start-up & “as built” documentation.
You will have the opportunity to actively participate in diverse tasks, both independently and as a member of a project team and aligned with your abilities. You could be either an experienced specialist ready to jump into the role of Lead Engineer or more junior engineer with a receptive mind-set and desire for professional growth. We are committed to train you as a top expert in the field – we can customize your tasks to fit your current strengths or advance your development.
Our expectations for you
You have a suitable mechanical (MSc / BSc) education and adequate hands-on engineering or engineering management experience. You have knowledge of design with both 2D/3D and AutoCAD programs.
