Midaxo Oy is looking for a Lead Developer to join a talented team of software developers in Helsinki. The software team consists of around 20 professionals working with Midaxo’s products, one of them being e.g. the new Pipeline+ product.
As a Lead Developer you will act as a leader of a dedicated product development team, ensuring that the developers become fully productive during sprints and that the team is working towards a common goal. The role includes hands-on coding as well as planning of sprints and retrospectives. You will operate as the Scrum master with the help of Kanban, supporting your team to monitor their performance as well as resolve issues that hinder the team's work. You will work in close collaboration with the Product Owner that provides the team with product requirements. Together with your team, you will ensure the best possible product range for Midaxo’s customers, develop new product features and make possible improvements. Midaxo operates in a fully serverless cloud environment, specifically in AWS and utilizes AWS Lambda, AWS AppSync, DynamoDB and CloudFormation, and the following tools, technologies and frameworks are utilized: Python, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, PostgreSQL.
We are looking for a person with several years of experience in software development. To succeed in this role you need to have strong skills in AWS environment and React, as well as experience with developing web software in general. As a person, you have a proactive and self-driven attitude and willingness to guide others by sharing your knowledge and by providing support. Ideally, you have also gained previous experience in team lead roles, but we are primarily looking for a person who is motivated to lead a team with an example and is not afraid to roll up their sleeves with coding. This is a full-time, permanent position. Midaxo has an office in Helsinki, but you can also work remotely.

We hope you have:
Several years of experience in software development (fullstack, frontend, and/or backend development). Previous experience of team lead roles is considered as an asset
Strong skills in React and/or Python and AWS cloud environment. We also hope you have an understanding of micro service architectures as well as some databases
Experience in working with a SaaS product
A proactive, hands-on attitude and willingness to lead people by example
Fluency in English language
In this position, you will be employed directly by Midaxo Oy.
