In your role as Lead Data Scientist, you shall be a part of our Platform and Technology Architecture Team and take responsibility of guiding our application intelligence to the next level. In your position, you shall be a focal point for collaboration between our customers, product managers, technology teams in aligning how we build intelligence on-top of timeseries, image and other types of data. You closely collaborate with our Application, Data Science, Data Engineering and Data Architecture experts to ensure our best practices continue improving and technologies are used optimally. You ensure that we are fully harmonized and standardized across the different applications within our Industrial Internet -platform. You shall be based in Tampere or Jyväskylä, Finland.
To be a successful in this position we expect you to be experienced in or willing to learn:
The Industrial Domain and its way of working. Optimally you have experience in Pulp, Paper or Energy -segments and their data analytics.
Have a strong understanding of advanced data analytics and how to apply it in the industrial domain.
Willingness to take ownership of developing our data science development process further
Experience in designing successful analytics for industrial use-cases
Capable of collaborating and gathering requirements from different stakeholders and translating them into solid analytics development plans.
Grit to push things through the way you see best fit.
Understanding of technological cost factors of your designs – and how efficient designs are built.

Your daily work
Leading Technology Architecture Development, Usage and Harmonization of own area of responsibility. This includes both innovation and planning of testing of new tech as well as management of iterative development of existing tech and their version updates.
Collaborating with stakeholders in identifying and gathering gaps in technology, platform and their application. Using this to justify prioritization of platform & technology gaps based on upcoming needs and scope.
Participating in R&D Stage Gate Process and planning of all product development portfolio from Data Science point-of-view.
Supporting multiple product development projects ensuring and planning technology, platform and analytics efficient usage.
Actual participation in projects related to product development and customer projects.
