WHAT WOULD YOU GET TO DO AS LEAD DATA MODELER AT OP?

 

We at OP are actively taking digitalization in the banking sector to the next level. This way, we will be able to provide our customers, actually over four million of them, with top quality banking services also in the future. Enterprise data warehousing plays a significant role in this process, and this is where we need your help – we are now looking to grow the System Team in our Data Warehousing Tribe in Helsinki.

 

In this role, you will have ownership of our EDW’s physical and logical data models. This translates into being responsible for OP’s EDW data model and its architectural guidelines. In practice, you get to review and approve logical data models developed by the teams in our Data Warehousing Tribe and support these teams in both logical and physical data model design, as the teams develop products using our core platform (Teradata). You will also get to participate in metadata management. All in all, you will get to work across all the lines of business at OP Financial Group and hereby learn from the whole organization.

 

We appreciate different kinds of backgrounds in data modeling and data warehousing, and this position might be more than suitable for you if you have been working with large data modeling projects in the banking and insurance fields before. In order to succeed in this role, you need to be very familiar with different data modeling concepts and Teradata FSDM. WHAT WE EXPECT:

 

  • Good knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts
  • Good domain knowledge of banking / insurance
  • Previous experience of modeling data warehouses for banking or insurance organizations
  • Knowledge of Teradata Financial Services Data Model and Teradata physical database design
  • Experience of using erwin Data Modeler and SQL
  • Excellent communication skills, positivity, and the mindset of striving for success as a team
