The Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki (Uniarts Helsinki) is now recruiting lecturers in vocal music to commence on 1 August 2020. The positions are placed on the tenure track for lecturers and can be either fixed-term or permanent, depending on the applicants’ qualifications and career stage. Further information about the Uniarts Helsinki’s career system and tenure track is available here.

There are two positions available, and they can be filled as full-time, part-time, or a combination of these. The applicants may express their wish for the duration and work volume (50-100%) of employment when applying for the position. The lecturers will work in the Vocal Music Department in Helsinki, one of the ten departments in the Faculty of Classical Music. The department is responsible for vocal music education and for planning, developing, and evaluating it. The department provides instruction for vocal music majors, and approximately half of the instruction is for students from other departments, such as church music and music education students. Further information about the department is available on the Uniarts website.
