We are looking for a

Laboratory Engineer

to join our Laboratory Equipment and Systems team in Kilpilahti, Porvoo.

Laboratory Equipment and Systems team supports laboratory functions. Well and reliably performing laboratories are necessary for supporting refineries and developing new products and technology.

In your role, you will 

  • Actively seek new technologies and opportunities for improvement
  • Manage the development and service of QC laboratory instrumentation and facilities
  • Coordinate training and support laboratory personnel in instrument and system usage
  • Troubleshoot and fix instrument issues/breakdowns
  • Coordinate and participate in instrument/method implementation and validation

You will work closely with IT-organization, Laboratory personnel and Facility management to ensure development and functionality of QC laboratories. Our work combines accountability, cooperation, and the desire to develop and renew. Working safely at all times is essential to all of us.

We have a medium size team of experts working in Laboratory Equipment and Systems. Our team is responsible for laboratory instruments (investments, service), LIMS and laboratory intranet. We also develop laboratory automation, instrument life cycle management and we are constantly looking for opportunities for improvement. 

Keys to success in this role

  • Experienced in hands-on laboratory work and instruments
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Basic understanding of quality
  • Fluent in English

The recruitment process includes interviews and aptitude testing. The first interviews are preliminary scheduled to take place on week 39.
The person selected for the position must pass a health examination including a drug test. A security clearance is obtained for the persons with their consent.
