Junior Process and Plant Engineer

WOIMA, a Finnish technology company specialized in innovative waste management and power generation solutions, is seeking a motivated Junior Process and Plant Engineer to join their engineering team.
As a Junior Process and Plant Engineer you will support the development and optimization of WOIMA solutions for sustainable energy needs such as the modular wasteWOIMA® waste-to-energy plant and carbon capture solutions. You will work on versatile tasks in power plant projects under the supervision of Senior Engineers.
More specifically, you’ll:

Support Process, Piping and Plant Engineering for WOIMA products

Generate PI-diagrams and design 3D models and 2D Drawings

Assist with process calculations and system optimizations

Maintain process-related documentation such as descriptions, guidelines, and plans

Communicate with suppliers and engineering partners

Develop and maintain WOIMA tools and design systems related to your area of expertise

Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to improve WOIMA products by finding new technical solutions

Be part of the technology – and engineering teams to design and optimize new and existing products
You could be the person we are looking for if you are a self-starter with a passion for process engineering. You can be a recent graduate with some relevant experience for example from internship. As the work requires communication with multiple stakeholders we expect you to have good communication skills. You are able to work independently as well as part of the team. All in all, we are looking for a curious and motivated person with good problem solving skills.
Woima offices are located in Vaasa and Tampere and you can work in either one of them. In addition you have flexible remote working possibilities. This is a permanent and full-time position but you can also work part-time, if that suits you better.
We require you to have:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Process and Energy Technology, or related field

Understanding of process engineering principles and concepts
-
Proficiency in Vertex G4 Plant/PI, or other common CAD-tools
-
Innovative, curious and open-minded approach to engineering
-
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
We consider as an asset:

Basic programming skills or Excel (VBA) knowledge

Previous experience in boiler or plant design
