Junior IT Help Desk Technician, part time
What does the job include?
Our fleet of laptops, desktops, phones, meeting room and network infrastructure will be your domain. Your responsibility is to make sure that these keep functioning. You will be IT’s main contact point about office infrastructure issues, resolve what you can, and get the right person to resolve the ones you cannot.
We have a mix of Windows, Linux, and Mac laptops managed using Puppet and Ansible. None of us knows everything about all of these, but all of us together are very knowledgeable about them.
What are we looking for in our Junior IT Help Desk Technician?
An organised, helpful, and positive attitude towards helping people is the main thing you will need. We do not expect you to be an instant expert, but you have to be willing and able to find solutions, both independently and with the help of the rest of the IT team. The job is part time job, about 15-20 hours/week. You can definitely combine this with your studies.
