What you will be doing

We are looking for a full-time, fixed-term Test Automation Engineer, who is enthusiastic about product development to join us for the summer of 2023 – perhaps you? Product Development is at the heart of our business and as our a+ Summer Apprentice, you daily work consists of designing, implementing, maintaining, and executing tests in order to regression test the changes made on Procountor, a web-based financial management software. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to dabble in manual testing of the software.

The core codebase of Procountor is mostly written in Java and the open-source Vaadin framework is used for providing a web front-end to the end-user. JBehave Framework is used for test automation. Some other key technologies include MySQL, JUnit, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Git and Azure.

Most of your team is located at our headquarters in Espoo, but are other locations are in Turku, Tampere, Oulu, Jyväskylä, Stockholm and Copenhagen. We work with a flexible hybrid model.

As a future Software Test Automation Engineer, you are self-imposed, have a solution-focused attitude and take responsibility for your own work. In this position you will be working in a Scrum team, so as a team member you are willing to both ask for and give assistance - not to forget being friendly and fun to work with! 
 

• Relevant educational background

• Some experience in software testing either as studies or from hobbies

• Some experience in (web-based) software development

• Basic knowledge of Java

• Fluency in English both written and spoken

It is a plus if you have
 

• Relevant work experience in software testing or the similar

• Knowledge of test automation

• Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL
