ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Jr. Innovation Specialist, you will work in close co-operation with Elisa's different business units as well as their external patent attorneys. You will work in a rapidly changing and international environment where you would have excellent opportunities to develop your expertise and strengthen Elisa's patent activities and innovation culture. JOB DUTIES

* Engaging with personnel to identify protectable aspects of their every-day work products
* Evaluating patentability of received invention reports
* Advising and training business units in patent rights and other IPR related matters
* Reviewing and analyzing competitor patents
* Coordinating work with Elisa's external patent agencies

WE ARE LOOKING FOR

* Relevant educational background (University / UAS). Your studies have given you a solid base to understand the field and terms of telecommunications and information technology.
* Strong interest towards learning about patent processes and legal aspects
* Fluent written and spoken English skills. Finnish skills are seen as an advantage.

Earlier relevant work experience and knowledge in TelCo networks, computer implemented methods, predictive modeling techniques, AI and automation are seen as advantages. However, the most important thing is an open and eager mindset to learn new skills and develop yourself to become a future professional in the field of patent processes and legal aspects.

Other information

* Start: August 2022
* Work extent: Permanent contract
* Location: You can be remote or based at any Elisa office location you prefer. Elisa's offices are located e.g. in Helsinki, Turku, Tampere, Jyväskylä, Oulu and Ylivieska.

We will perform a legitimate security clearance and drug test on the chosen candidate, which in turn requires having been a resident of Finland for a good number of years before the security clearance can be done.
