We are looking for an international super connector in the telecom and media business sales area.

Entertaining is a strategic domain within Elisa's New Business Development unit, and the beginning of a new pillar of business for the leading telecom operator in Finland. We have proven ourselves in the domestic market, and now are going to productise our most valuable capabilities internationally.

We are putting together an internationally experienced dream team of necessary competences, and the International Sales Director will be given an absolute key role in our charge into new markets.

Even though Elisa is a 135 year old corporation, with all the credibility and background resources that implies, we work as a startup in the Entertaining business domain. We experiment rigorously to lessen uncertainty, and are ready for decisive expansion also through M&A when the time is right.

Your first responsibility will be to ramp up sales of BingeTV, and best-of-breed end-to-end solution for network operators and media companies that quickly and cost-efficiently want to offer their customers a complete solution for both large TV screen and mobile entertaining content. We have the experience to handle it all, from content acquisition and delivery networks to set-top boxes and a user experience customised for your customers. We are excited and committed to get this going.

We are flexible when it comes to work locations, what matters is that you easily reach out to relevant players on the European market (this is our key market in the first stage). We will let you decide on the ways of working that gives the best results. We want the best, and the compensation will be competitive enough to prove it.

Required experience & qualifications

  • Healthy personal ambition level, coming from a desire to make a real difference, ready to work hands-on
  • 5 years of fresh experience in international B2B sales in the telecom or media industry or equivalent
  • Proven professional track record with new sales generation in an international setting, with some highlights, and a truly global network
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills in both spoken and written English, other languages are an advantage
  • Relevant (e.g. Econ. or Tech.) University Degree to build on
  • State-of-mind to learn everything about the OTT value chain
  • Aspiration to envision the future of video-based entertaining services
