Infrastructure Support Engineer

Turku, Finland / IT

The Turku Site, with 580 employees, represents one of PerkinElmer’s major manufacturing and product development sites for newborn, maternal fetal health, and prenatal screening. As the global market leader in newborn screening, our solutions have tested over 560 million babies worldwide for life-threatening diseases.

Our local IT function is a part of a global team and a critical contributor to the success of the Turku site. A team of five professionals ensures and oversees the functionality, performance, and security of workstations, networks, and production systems in the Nordic region.

Role description:

  • Focus on Networks, Datacenter management and Backup environment
  • Providing user support locally on respected areas
  • Regional EMEA responsibilities for cloud applications
  • Collaborating with all personnel groups and global IT

Role requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree BSc in IT, or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience within network support or other relevant field
  • Experience with networks (LAN, WAN), virtual environments (VMWare, HyperV) and Microsoft O365
  • Customer oriented mindset, with strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Finnish
