HW Lead

Unigraf Oy is looking for HW Lead to lead the hardware competence area in developing testing systems for video electronics.

Unigraf is a worldwide leading video electronics testing company based in Finland. Unigraf specializes in Hardware and Software Test Tools for testing USB-C™, DisplayPort™, and HDMI™ interfaces. Unigraf’s technological strengths are a deep understanding of the interfaces in R&D, Test Automation and Compliance Test environments. The world’s leading electronics manufacturers use Unigraf’s tools to test smartphones, laptops, tablets, monitors and more in the R&D development phase as well as in production line testing. Furthermore, Unigraf’s compliance test tools can be used to verify that products are designed and work according to standards set by e.g. Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) and Digital Content Protection LLC (DCP).

Your role

Are you interested in working with a global network of expertise and clientele of video electronics?

HW Lead is a lead expert role. The person is responsible for leading and coordinating HW competence area of Unigraf, including a team of HW development experts and external design partners. The person will also be responsible for the quality of HW deliverables to all Unigraf products.

Your tasks include, among others, generating and reviewing requirement specifications based on customer needs; supporting project managers in technical challenges and in the estimation of HW development timelines and resources; identifying opportunities for system performance optimization; and monitoring technical design and documentation regarding HW.

Your qualifications

You have a higher education degree in engineering/technology. As our team is international both written and spoken English is a prerequisite. The position requires some travelling whenever the circumstances allow safe travelling.

We expect you to have

  • Experience in embedded designs, CPU’s, memories
  • Experience in co-operation with external design partners
  • Altera FPGA experience and knowledge of USB-C, DisplayPort or HDMI is a benefit
  • Good connections to IC component vendors considered as an advantage
