In our new Electric Vehicle Systems (EVS) we develop and manufacture battery systems from 48V up to High Voltage for automotive and industrial applications. Valmet Automotive covers the full range from contract manufacturing to a TIER1 system supply.
Here’s where you’ll make an impact:
Collaborates closely with the designated business area to strategically align HR initiatives with organizational objectives. Assumes responsibility for advancing the HR agenda by identifying and proactively addressing critical human resources issues, cultivating employee engagement, and fostering the growth of talent within the organization. Provides guidance, assistance, and training to managers and staff for the effective management of all employee relations and workability matters, ensuring compliance with the company's HR policies, pertinent legislation, and collective agreements.
Actively engages in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, and effectively partners with local employee representatives. Conducts comprehensive training sessions for staff and managers on employment relations, company policies, and guidelines. Serves as the primary point of contact for HR-related topics within the designated business area, demonstrating a commitment to delivering high-quality HR support.
The post is fixed until the end of 2024 and will be filled as soon as a suitable candidate is found.
The main tasks will include:

Ensure effective, timely case management of people related issues
-
Educate/train and coach the line managers through a range of Employee Relations interventions to improve their understanding and ability to prevent and/or manage future issues on own Business Area

Train and support supervisors on employment and compensation & benefits matters and workability process
-
Provide HR related guidance and support to all staff, ensuring compliance with legislation
-
Foster the cooperation with the union/employee representatives and external parties like occupational health and pension insurance company

Together with other area HR colleagues will be responsible for the implementation of the annual HR processes at the Finnish level, as scheduled

Personnel reporting and statistics generation and analysis

Participates in the work of the Salaried employees Classification Committee (Mettova)

Acting as an recruiter on own nominated business area

Makes sure that induction of new managers is properly done
We hope that you would have:
-
Degree in business administration, human resources, law or alike with the relevant work experience and knowledge in employee/industrial relations and collective agreements, preferably in technology industries

At least 3 years’ experience in HR

Strong knowledge of collective agreements and legislations

Demonstrable ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and handle multiple assignments simultaneously

Communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels of an organization
-
Ability to make timely, informed decisions and wisdom, experience and perspective when making decisions
-
Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity in all matters, displaying appropriate judgement and initiative when required

Fluent Finnish and English language skills
