We are in the middle of transformation in our business. Our strategy “Fit for Growth” has given us direction and focus. We are now looking at sharpening our strategy for growth in lifecycle solutions, long-term customer partnerships, digital solutions and smart technologies.

The strategy and transformation team works with Caverion’s most challenging strategic questions, supporting the Group Management Board and shaping Caverion’s strategic projects. The team opens an opportunity to see how an international, large, and complex organization and its top management work, and how its long-term development agenda is shaped.

The position of head of strategy and portfolio is new at Caverion. It is established in order to help Caverion renew and focus its strategy for growth. The aim is an updated strategy for sharpened customer and market-based focus, and along the way, to help Caverion’s leadership make good strategic choices in each market. Our expectation is that you are very customer focused and business minded, understand the priorities and requirements coming from our customers and the business. You are a good leader who can engage, energise and drive the team and you are expected to collaborate well in matrix structure and across different countries.

The key areas of contribution in this role are:

In strategy development, you develop Caverion strategy and as an integral part of that, you facilitate Division (country) and Business Unit strategy development and formulation. You identify and shape complex business problems with various stakeholders. You engage them and take ownership of aligning diverse views to come to a synthesis. You base strategy development on market intelligence and market analysis. You work together with other team members; supporting, coaching and inspiring. You formulate and communicate insights and recommendations for decision-making. We want to establish a systematic way of developing, assessing and discussing our strategy, engage key stakeholders throughout the process and secure commitment of our employees to the execution of the strategy. This will require strong involvement and continuous dialogue across the organisation.

In strategic planning and portfolio and project management you drive and develop further the strategic planning process. You coordinate and manage multiple projects and working teams simultaneously, and you manage the portfolio of our strategic development and deployment projects together with Divisions, BUs and functions.

In strategy communications, you develop the strategy story for Caverion, and plan and execute strategy communications together with other leaders and Marketing & Communications. You keep our strategy master continuously up to date.

You would bring into this role approximately 7-10+ years of relevant work experience, ideally as a combination of industry and management consulting, banking or equivalent. Experience in managing projects and working with international matrix organizations is necessary. You also have strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities utilizing quantitative and qualitative tools. You are able to bring analysis to clear and concise conclusions. You have excellent interaction and communication, negotiation and alignment skills. If you have worked in complex situations with multiple stakeholders, you know why this is important. You have strong prioritizing and organizing skills, combined with drive to get things done. You have a Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, MBA or equivalent. You are fluent in English, both spoken and written. Finnish, German and Swedish are considered additional benefits.
