Group Sustainability Manager - Finland/Sweden/Denmark/Lithuania/Poland
We are looking for a Group Sustainability Manager.
In this role you are responsible for executing the Sustainability agenda of the Viking Malt Group. In particular, you are responsible for Viking Malt’s sustainability report, ensuring that it complies with the CSRD. The Group Sustainability Manager follows the development of reporting standards, EU requirements, customer demands, and industry standards and suggests development and actions to ensure that Viking Malt stays aware of and can meet the increasing expectations from society. The Group Sustainability Manager works in close cooperation with all functions, ensuring that sustainability is embedded in all that we do as a Group.
The position reports to VP Sustainability, Innovation & Marketing, Annika Wilhelmson (Lahti, Finland), but your location can be in any of the countries where we have a production site (Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Lithuania, Poland).
Areas of responsibility and key tasks:
Provide input to sustainability strategy development and participate in strategic projects when needed.
Manage and coordinate the implementation of the sustainability strategy of the Viking Malt Group.
Translate the strategy into a practical agenda with projects and tasks and manage the execution.
Follow sustainability trends and changes in legislation and regulations to secure compliance and drive proactive development to deliver on the expectations of customers and other key stakeholders.
Be responsible for the sustainability-related content in Viking Malt’s Annual Report.
Be overall responsible for reporting to sustainability platforms (Ecovadis, CDP, Sedex, SAI, Global Compact, etc.)
Provide sustainability-related information for customers and other stakeholders on demand.
Communicate sustainability-related news internally and externally in cooperation with Communication & Marketing.
Job requirements
Your background:
Minimum 3 years of experience working with sustainability at the managerial level.
Relevant university degree.
Proactive team player and a strong communicator with the ability to execute.
