Group Accounting Manager

Are you a finance professional passionate about numbers, leadership, and global collaboration? Qvantel is looking for a Group Accounting Manager to join our team in our HQ in Helsinki and lead our global financial operations from accounting and tax areas! 

About the Role:

As a Group Accounting Manager, you will oversee the global financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and practices. You will manage a dynamic and talented team, coordinate with various departments, and play a key role in financial reporting, consolidation, and audit processes. You will be working in seamless collaboration with the CFO.

Key role and responsibilities:

• Manage Qvantel Oy’s and Qvantel Finland Oy’s day to day accounting with 80 MEUR revenues (coming from onshore and offshore activities)

• Lead a team of experienced accounting professionals as direct supervisor

• Manage group accounts consolidation

• Indirectly lead/partner our outsourced accounting partners in our subsidiary-countries

• Manage statutory filings and registrations in line with monthly and annual filings clock

• Manage tax filings and procedures

• Manage operational relationships with banks with your team

• Support our finance team with your expertise in accounting and taxation related areas

• Manage timely preparation of statutory Annual Financial statements and supervise Audits

• Work closely with key stakeholders to develop and optimise financial systems ensuring data accuracy

What helps you to succeed in the position:

• Relevant education in Accounting and finance (MscBa, MBA, BBA or similar)

• 10+ years experience in similar duties and international financial management and consolidation

• Strong skills in Excel and ERP solutions

• Quick ability to learn new things and development oriented hands on mind-set

• Experience from desirably international SME company with broad role and responsibilities

• Experience in IFRS reporting helps but can also be learned within the company (solid processes in place)
