Valmet’s Global Financial Operations is looking for financial professional or future expert who is enthusiastic and ambitious to develop Valmet’s processes and tools, can continuously identify critical topics, values teamwork and is able to maintain a positive and productive working atmosphere.
General Ledger and Tax Accounting team is responsible for general ledger, overhead and period-end accounting; manages and integrates all financial accounting activities from master data to reporting to ensure full audit trail, completeness of accounting and compliance with Valmet policies and IFRS accounting rules; drives issue resolution and provides expertise in financial accounting matters.
We are now looking for enthusiastic team player to join General Ledger and Tax Accounting team. In this role you would be responsible for
Continuous development of defined E2E processes and practicalities as SME
Following up the system functionalities to ensure functionalities operate as targeted
Preparing conceptual design and development items together with Global Process Owner and respective GFO teams
Running roll-in activities of new ERP by implementing the global best practices and interim solutions with GFO, Leap Forward and other stakeholders
Co-operating seamlessly with operative teams to support in operative issues related to own responsibility area
Training key users and other Valmet employees and providing required instructions to ensure correct and accounting principle (e.g., IFRS, LGAAP) compliant processes
Deep knowledge of accounting principles and standards and hands on experience of putting those into practice
Self-motivated drive to fulfill requirements and meet timelines
Ability to roll up sleeves when working across teams and functions to influence action
Ability to identify critical topics and process issues where necessary
Ability to work well under pressure and keep others positive and motivated
Excellent communication skills with ability to deliver complex messages in an effective way
Effective documentation and presentation skills
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting and/or a recognized accounting qualification
Previous working experience within financial accounting and reporting
Fluent in written and spoken English and Finnish, competence in other languages is an advantage
Understanding of Valmet business model and way of working is an advantage
