Metropolia Business School has launched two new procurement related Master’s degree programmes that are both created in collaboration with professionals in the field.

The fully online Procurement MBA programme’s key themes are the strategic nature of procurement in the business, utilization of technology as an enabler, value creation to end customers through the supply chain, and sustainability and collaboration issues.

In the Public Procurement Master’s degree programme (Julkiset hankinnat, ylempi AMK) the focus areas are strategic approach to, and impact and effectiveness of the public procurement, its sustainability and its innovativeness.

We are now seeking a new collegue to help us to establish these programmes. Your primary responsibility will be to teach and develop procurement related courses at Metropolia Business School, on Myyrmäki Campus and online. Instruction and thesis supervision is to be provided in Finnish and in English, mostly on the masters’ level (Procurement MBA, Julkiset hankinnat YAMK) but also to the bachelor students enrolled in our degree programmes.  Tasks also include R&D project work and teaching on tailored courses to customer organizations.

We value a professional, enthusiastic approach, expertise preferably in both private sector procurement and public procurement, solid English and Finnish language skills, and strong pedagogical skills with the ability to guide and advise different types of learners. A strong business and academic background is required. We are looking for candidates with research and development capabilities and the ability to adopt new digital tools easily. Post-graduate degree is an asset, and a proven track record of success in teaching is considered an advantage.

We specifically appreciate your experience in the following fields: strategic procurement in private and public sectors, supply chain management, sustainability and risk management. You are familiar with the new dynamic paradigm of procurement in the private sector as well as innovative and sustainable approaches to public procurement.

Teacher qualification requirements are a master level degree in business or other suitable field, and a minimum of 3-year work experience. In addition, pedagogical qualifications are required but can be completed within 3 years from the start of the employment. The pay and conditions of service are determined by SIVISTA teacher collective agreement.
