In order to support the growth and the global digital transformation by developing company’s IT environment, Normet has decided to strengthen internal recourses for new cloud technologies and to recruit a Full Stack Developer.

As a Full Stack Developer you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Normet’s IoT platform as well as supporting the growth and global digital transformation.

The Normet IT and Innovation Team (IoT) is a critical contributor to the future success and transformation of the organization. Normet IT and Innovation Team (IoT) integrates processes, systems and information jointly with business lines in regards to digitizing the core operations and enabling new digital business opportunities via technology and information.

The IT and Innovation organization aims at renewing the entire Core Architecture based on MS Dynamics 365 and sorting production solutions during 2019. Transformation program enables transparency to business processes and rapid development of new technologies in the upcoming months.

In this position you will report to the Head of Infra & Workplace, Marko Laitinen. Main working place is in Iisalmi or at head office in Keilaranta, Espoo, Finland. Appr. 20 % travelling is expected.


Responsibilities and tasks

  • Develop and maintain IoT platform (Azure IoT)

  • the best practices for IoT coding, code quality and security

  • Lead and be part of IoT development in agile way



  • Education: Bachelor´s or Master´s degree (Information Technology, Engineering etc.)

  • Experience in agile development methods

  • Strong experience in UX design

  • Strong experience in Microsoft technologies (Azure: Kubernetes, Blob storage, API´s, Elastic Search, Access Control, DevOps, Databases)

  • Strong understanding of Azure cloud application architecture

  • Strong understanding of Azure cloud infrastructure architecture and information security

  • Strong understanding of cloud solutions information security

  • Experience of hybrid cloud solutions and best practices

  • Willingness to work both hands-on and to guide team members

  • Leadership, cooperation, communication, visualization and presentation skills

  • Genuine passion, interest and ability to adjust to continuously changing priorities and needs

  • Fluent spoken and written English and Finnish
