Wärtsilä Voyage is seeking an experienced Front-End Software Developer to join the Voyage Efficiency Optimisation team at our Wärtsilä Helsinki Campus. In this position you will contribute to shaping Wärtsilä Fleet Operations Solution (FOS) - the world leading marine analytics platform that helps our customers to optimize their operations to save money and fuel. Wärtsilä FOS platform is being developed by innovative community of afficionados who strive to drive the rapid digitalisation change which is happening in the marine industry.

As we want to drive the change, we must always be one step ahead. That means that quality software, excellent UI & UX and constant feedback from our customers are of the highest importance to us. Therefore, we challenge ourselves, release often and are ready to change our plans if they are not what our customers need.

As a Front-End Software Developer you will develop and maintain customer-facing features for Wärtsilä FOS platform allowing our customers to plan, track and analyze sea voyages for their fleet of vessels. You will develop stunning, user-friendly UIs in close collaboration with a UX designer, but you should have the eye for the detail yourself. You should be able to work independently, but you will have the support of your Scrum team.

We are looking for a Front-End Software Developer who meets the following requirements:

• 3+ years working experience with CSS, HTML, Typescript/Javascript
• 3+ years working experience with React and MobX or equivalent web frameworks
• 2+ years of relevant working experience in a dynamic, innovative environment (innovative enterprise, start-up or self-employed professional)
• 1+ year of working experience with code collaboration on extensive code base with multiple developers
• Self-motivation and drive to grow both professionally and as a human being

We will be amazed, if you also have some of the following optional experience:

• Working in Scrum development teams
• Docker and Kubernetes
• CI
• Python or Java
