We are looking for a Front-End Developer to Nordea Life&Pension IT development–team. Your future responsibilities

You’ll join Nordea Life IT unit, where we work with modern technologies and tools in multi-national scrum teams. Here are some of the technologies we use: Angular6+, Foundation, HTML5, Java, Spring, microservices, REST API, Maven, Git and WebLogic.    What you’ll be doing:
  • Together with our UX designers and multi-national team of hard-core professionals you will be developing the front end of our web application 
  • You will support our organisation in continuous improvement and high-quality code  
  • You will participate our initiatives as a developer and scrum team member and work closely together with Nordea colleagues as well as external partners to contribute to agile application development processes 
  • You follow the trends in information technology and especially in web technologies, and are eager to learn and adapt them 
The role is based in Vallila district of Helsinki, at our modern office. Welcome to a team where we work according Agile and Lean software practices and principles, aiming to understand our business and co-operating frequently also with non-technical stakeholders.

You are equipped with excellent programming skills, solid background and a proven track record of delivering quality code and documentation, preferably in large complex environments.    Your background more detailed:
  • 3-5 years’ experience in web application development 
  • You are able to independently execute all required software development phases, acting both as a coder and an analyst  
  • You have strong expertise in Angular and Foundation 
  • You have a relevant academic degree 
  • Fluency in Finnish and English are required in this role 
Additional points are earned from:
  • You are familiar with REST-services and the concept of microservices  
  • You have knowledge of web and database architecture  
  • General understanding of complex multi-application systems would be considered as an advantage
