We are looking for a
Finance Data Lead
to join our growing Data Management & Data Platform team within the Data Management unit in Espoo.
The Neste Data Management and Data Platform is undergoing a transformation. Our target is to build a future oriented, determined data management function that boosts the development, increases understanding and takes advantage of digital advancements. Together we will build a robust and scalable way of working that will truly allow Neste to lie on the pulse of the business.
Your part in the digital and data driven Neste journey

Your role as a member of the Data Management & Data Platform team is to educate and support the finance function areas in implementing data related strategic and tactical initiatives and projects (Finance Data Hub).
You’ll work closely with the whole Business Finance, Group Finance and Treasury & Risk Management teams and various other Neste stakeholders from Finland and abroad.

Your main responsibilities in creating a sustainable future
In your role, you will
Define the data vision, development portfolio and roadmap for Finance units, including target state and roadmap alignment with relevant stakeholders
Owner of Finance Data Hub, responsible for setting up and coordinating developments across functional teams and applications
Challenge the establishment and propose new, more efficient and leaner data driven processes - “think outside the box”
Continuously assess and introduce new analytical methods to be applied within the finance organization for improved insights and efficiency and develop hypotheses and use cases for advanced analytics. Track and ensure that our data & analytics solutions are extracting value.
Set goals, monitor and initiate activities to improve data quality
Ensure appropriate design and coordinate that correct solutions are in place from E2E data supply chain perspective to build scalable and robust data models for end users
Cooperate with the Neste Data & Analytics community to develop good practices in all phases of the data & analytics workflow
Track and ensure that our data & analytics solutions are extracting value and act as spokesman promoting new solutions to finance leadership teams.
You will work closely with different kinds of finance key stakeholders, Neste Data Platform team, Business Process Leadership, and Enterprise Architects to identify old and new data related needs and solutions.
The Data Management & Data Platform team is one of four sub-teams under the Neste Data Management & Finance Development organisation.
Finance Transformation - Driving finance process development with an end-to-end mindset and managing finance development portfolio as well as specific development projects
Data Management & Data Platform - Driving data understanding & development in the whole Neste level
Intelligent Automation - Driving RPA development in the whole Neste level
Process Development & Governance Support - Providing E2E process development and governance support for Finance unit
The best combination to success in this role
Master's degree in e.g. business, finance, engineering, data science
Understanding on the possibilities and capabilities of modern data platform
Understanding of planning and analysis related finance processes and data management & governance
Experience on finance processes
Experience in analytics and advanced analytics capabilities
Strong technical background

A strong hunger and curiosity to work with complex initiatives and drive these forwards with a high level of independence. Ability to grasp complex problems from multiple perspectives and looking things from different stakeholders’ perspectives

Understands how to utilize digital solutions with data to innovate the customer/frontline journeys
Strong self-starter with ability to lead and think outside of the box: ability to gain trust and mandate from stakeholders of all seniority by showing strategic thinking and understanding of the bigger picture over details seen as advantage
Fluent English skills are a must, both written and oral
