As a Finance Analyst for Unilever Finland, you would belong to the Finance excellence team, which itself takes responsibility for the financial forecasting and Customer Development (CD) controls in the Nordics.

The primary focus of this role is to ensure accurate and on time preparation of monthly forecast of Finland and effectiveness of sales controls in the country. This is a key role in the Business Planning and CD controlling team, with interfaces across various stakeholders in the business, putting you on the frontline.

The Finance Analyst reports to the head of Nordic Business Planning and CD control. The position is based at the Unilever Finland’s Office in Vallila, Helsinki where we offer an international and fun work environment in a fast-paced industry.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Own and continuously improve end-to-end financial forecasting process from finance perspective
  • Prepare the customer and category forecast, including cash up, risks and opportunities on a monthly basis.
  • Act as business partners to country and category teams in terms of forecasting by bringing transparency, challenge and identifying risks & opportunities
  • Own, partner and continuously improve all sales controlling processes
  • Perform standard sales controls including accrual and provision reviews and aged deductions.
  • Work together with Order to Cash team to make sure transactional issues and audit claims are resolved

 

What we’re looking for

We are looking for a talented individual with minimum 1-2 years relevant working experience from similar role. As a person you are analytical and have excellent attention to detail, but also passion for business and capability of seeing the bigger picture. You are structured and not afraid to take initiatives. You are technical and able to handle large data sets. You are also a skilled administrator with ability to plan and set priorities. You should be comfortable working towards tight deadlines in combination with heavy workload in month ends.

 

Knowledge and skills

  • Strong analytical skills and high financial acumen (Financial qualification preferred)
  • Experience working with large data sets
  • Focus on details
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong engagement, presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work fluidly with data and across systems (existing reporting tools)
  • Ability to present complex information in a simplified manner
  • Fluent in Finnish and English, both spoken and written. Swedish skills are considered an advantage.
  • Good organizational awareness and ability to work collaboratively
