The successful Field Technical Service Engineer’s overall responsibility will be to perform service activity on medical devices supplied by Baxter in Finland and urgent support cases in the other Nordic countries. You will also support where needed the support sales activities on products within geographical area.


You will be responsible for:

  • Perform preventive maintenance of critical medical devices on a regular basis

  • Responsible for repair, install, maintain and decontaminate medical devices distributed by Baxter

  • Ensure all activities are performed followed by the available instructions and information, within the quality system framework (SOPs)

  • Report all relevant service activity, to ensure updated and accurate service data in the service system

  • Plan and organize day to day activities on the field

  • Responsible to control own car stock

  • Responsible to control own ESD

  • Control device shipments

  • Attend to the required trainings and meetings     

  • Provide customer telephone support


Who you are:

  • Ability to use a wide variety of tools and test instruments

  • Good written and verbal communication skills, both in Finnish and English

  • Proven troubleshooting skills

  • Good customer facing skills

  • Capability to remain calm and controlled under pressurized circumstances, whilst maintaining level of urgency

  • Disciplined, independent in executing tasks, but also a strong team player

  • Customer and result focused

  • Ability to prioritize and communicate effectively

  • A technical degree (preferably in medical instrumentation or electro-mechanics) or equivalent experience
