We are now looking for an Expert, Direct Tax Compliance to perform and develop our corporate income tax and other direct tax reporting and processes together with our expertise team and stakeholders. This permanent position is located in Tampere, Finland.

What you’ll do
Perform Parent entity direct tax reporting together with Direct tax compliance team
Provide guidance and support Finance Teams on Direct tax compliance locally and globally
Develop related processes locally and globally
Ensure quality and compliance in defined area
Together with the Direct tax team implement rule and regulation changes
Work closely and grow your own expertise with the help of our Direct tax compliance team and internal stakeholders & external service providers
Contribute to larger projects bringing Direct tax compliance expertise
Be part of an enthusiastic and skilled team securing stakeholder trust on UPM Direct tax compliance
Who you are
You have strong knowledge in Direct tax compliance and reporting
You have minimum of 3 years of experience in legal entity tax reporting i.e., preparing corporate income tax returns, preparing tax calculations, and collecting related data
You understand connections between tax reporting, financial accounting, and underlying data
You are keen to work with continuous improvement and have good co-operation, coordination, and communications skills
You have a relevant degree in taxation or finance, or equal qualification
You have strong IT skills, and it is considered as an asset to have experience of SAP, AFO and analytics software’s like PowerBI
You are fluent in Finnish and have working proficiency in English
