EU Project Controls Leader
The project controls leader is responsible for planning and executing effective project controls (cost & schedule), in collaboration with design and construction managers and other members of the capital delivery and manufacturing teams. Cost control and scheduling efforts follow design and construction strategies that result in safe, on-time, and on-budget project deliveries that support plant maintenance and operations activities. An effective controls environment will ensure proper project spending and cost control, as well as earned value reporting and analytics that result in better overall project execution across multiple projects and countries within the European region.
The main responsibilities are:
- Act as Project Manager's primary support. Consistently providing insights, data and information to ensure assigned projects remain on cost, on scope, and on schedule.
- Adhere to our established project controls processes across all business units, and look for areas of continuous improvement.
- Issue our standard project controls reporting package for each project as required and ensure that it is utilized by our project teams. Ensure that it highlights risk, and presents options for risk mitigation – both from a cost and schedule perspective.
- Foster an environment of continuous improvement by tracking the accuracy of the initial schedule, and continuing to improve the accuracy of schedule estimates over time.
The right person will have experience in large scale international construction projects and a bachelor's or master's degree with a focus in engineering, business, operations or equivalent. You should have a strong commercial orientation, with thorough understanding of financial statements and various estimating techniques. You need to have strong communication skills and excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Working knowledge of SAP and MS Project is a benefit.
You will be a part of EU Advanced Manufacturing team. Our responsibility is to deliver investment projects in Europe, covering all the countries where Owens Corning has operations.
