We are now looking for an energetic and enthusiastic EU funding specialist in the area of Climate, Energy and Mobility (Cluster 5 of Horizon Europe) to reinforce the Finnish NCP network.


EU Funding Advisor /NCP in Helsinki

Helping our customers access EU Research and Innovation funding and networks is an important task of Business Finland in supporting our customers’ renewal and international networking. National Contact Points (NCPs) play a crucial role as providers of information and assistance to potential Finnish applicants in building ambitious research and innovation projects and collaboration.


Your role

  • Delivering high quality EU Funding services to external and internal stakeholders and customers in relevant themes (Climate, Energy and Mobility)

  • Communicating EU funding opportunities to different stakeholders and potential participants via different channels, such as our newsletter, webpages, social media etc.

  • Organising events and trainings for potential participants

  • Giving advice to customers in all phases of EU funded projects from finding a suitable call and preparing the proposal to successfully implementing the project

  • Monitoring and analysing Finnish participation to the EU Framework Programme in the relevant themes (Climate, Energy and Mobility).

To be successful in this position you have

  • Extensive experience and expertise in the EU Framework Programme and its instruments, partnerships and networks in relevant themes (Climate, Energy and Mobility)

  • Knowledge of state of the art and major trends in relevant themes (Climate, Energy and Mobility)

  • Knowledge of the national RDI funding landscape and roles of different actors

  • Knowledge of the relevant stakeholders in the relevant themes and understanding their roles and needs

  • Good spoken and written communication and presentation skills

  • Excellent knowledge of Finnish and English, other languages are an advantage

  • A relevant university degree
