In your role as Environmental Manager, you will be responsible for the company’s environment and energy activities by constantly controlling and developing the certified environment, energy, and quality management systems. You will also drive the company’s ambition of sustainable solutions, provide expert knowledge on environmental and energy issues, inform top management of environmental deviations and manage any follow-up for corrective actions, and ensure that Roal acts responsibly and complies with Finnish and EU environmental regulations.

Your key qualities include:

  • A minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in the same or a similar role.
  • A focus on quality: You are precise, efficient, cooperative, and flexible.
  • An MSc or equivalent, preferably in bioprocesses or environmental or chemical engineering.
  • A good understanding of national environmental legislation is required.
  • Fluency in basic office software and preferably experience with SAP.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Finnish and English.
  • A broad knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes and chemicals would be advantageous.
