Would you be the next Engineering Manager?
As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of 12 commissioning engineers and a varying number of external consultants, ensuring their work aligns with project guidelines and deadlines. Your responsibilities include overseeing automation design, testing, and commissioning processes, while ensuring that the team stays on schedule and within budget. You will collaborate closely with project managers to strategically allocate resources and contribute to project kick-off meetings, establishing a strong foundation for each project's success. Additionally, you will be responsible for team safety, as well as overseeing the development and competency of team members.
This position is full-time and permanent. Maillefer’s office is in Vantaa, and they work in a hybrid model that allows remote work two days a week.
What are we looking for?
To excel in this role, you should have prior experience in a managerial position, preferably within project-based work. Experience as a commissioning engineer, particularly with hands-on automation work, is highly valued. We expect you to have a relevant engineering degree, preferably in automation. As you will be working on international projects, fluency in both spoken and written English is required, while proficiency in Finnish is considered an advantage.
We value strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. As a leader, it is important that you can identify and leverage your team's strengths during project planning. To succeed in this role, you’ll need strong stress resilience, especially when managing changing plans, unexpected situations, and challenges faced by team members at work sites, along with effective problem-solving abilities.
