EHSS Manager

We are looking for an Environment, Health and Safety and Sustainability Manager to join our team.
This position is leading the implementation and enhancement of safety culture and has ownership of all EHSS operations within the organization. Succesfull EHSS Manager candidate is able to independently develop, implement, update, review, audit and report all Health, Environment, Safety and Sustainability issues and processes in accordance with law, ISO standards, local regulations and corporate guidelines.
Main work site is preferrably Vantaa but can be any other of our 9 locations around Finland. Travelling between our locations is a must in this position. This position is part of our HR & EHS team and reports to HR Director.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Company appointed Health and Safety Officer
• Carrying out all in-house safety trainings
• Managing risk assessment processes
• Owner in accident and incident and near-miss investigation processes
• Implementation of environment, health and safety and sustainability related processes and culture
• Coordinate and support group audit of local legal entities and take lead to ensure that any internal or external audit management letter points relevant to the entity are cleared on a timely and appropriate basis
• Implementation and coordination of Science Based Targets (SBT) as according to Volvo Group strategy

Key skills required in this position:

• Proven experience (minimum of 5 years) and skills in EHS on managerial/operational level in similar positions within international industrial or manufacturing companies
• Bachelor’s degree level education in EHS related studies
• In depth knowledge of legal requirements within own area of responsibility
• Excellent cross-collaboration skills, 'hands on' and a positive 'can do – will do' approach and attitude
• Strong IT and reporting skills
• Good written and oral presentation skills, with the ability to deliver clear, concise, accurate materials and messages; using appropriate language tailored to the needs of the audience (communication)
• Genuine passion for all things related to environment and sustainability
• Fluent in Finnish and English. Working proficiency in Swedish is an advantage
