The Kevitsa open-pit mine in northern Finland was acquired by Boliden in June 2016. The operation, which comprises a mine and a concentrator, went into operation in 2012 and is thus still in its ramp-up phase. The Kevitsa deposit – first discovered in 1987 – is one of the largest ever mineral discoveries in Finland. Currently, Kevitsa has 500 employees who work together with around 200 contractors.

Boliden Kevitsa is offering the excellent career opportunity for an experienced EHSQ professional to lead and develop the environment, health, safety and quality support functions of the open pit mine and mill operations. The main responsibility of the EHSQ Manager is to ensure that work within the EHSQ sections is conducted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, government decisions and the company’s internal regulations and policies. EHSQ Manager reports to the General Manager and is part of Boliden Kevitsa’s site management team.
