Normet is on a strong growth path and thus strengthening their Offering Development team with a Product Line Director, New Technologies.

In this position, you will get the opportunity to:

  • Build business cases around novel products/solutions and acts as the coordinating person between Normet customers and Normet R&D/technology team.

  • Monitor the creation and development of new technology / products

  • Conduct market foresight to determine novel product/solution to create and maintain a ‘New Technology’ roadmap to

    • prioritise new product development

    • communicate future product direction

    • create consensus across key stakeholders

    • capture customer feedback.

  • Track product success and define needed actions to maximise sales and increase profitability.

  • Do competitor follow up, product positioning, and maintain market competitiveness.

  • Formulate pricing and cost targets.

  • Do technology transfer, licensing, partnerships assessment and development.

  • Coordinate marketing, advertising and promotion planning strategy globally for Normet EQ.


 

Qualifications

As a person well suited to this position, we expect the following qualities and capabilities:

  • Previous experience in robotics or automation of mobile machinery.

  • A desire, ability and attitude to develop new technology solutions on machines for harsh environments.

  • Education: B. Eng. or M. Sc. (Tech.) in relevant field

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in automation, robotics, technology partnerships or corresponding fields.

  • Positive Leadership, ability and willingness to lead by example

  • Can-do and results-driven attitude

  • Great team-working and self-management  skills

  • Mining or Tunneling application experience would be an advantage but not mandatory. 

 

You are capable of working in English. You job locations will be both Normet headquarters in Espoo, and Normet Oy factory in Iisalmi, Finland. Remote working practices can be discussed.
