We are now looking for a Director, Human Resources, Timber to join our Fibres-team. The position is located in Tampere, Finland.
What you’ll do
Your role is to ensure strategic HR partnership for UPM Timber. You will be a member of Timber Management team as well as Fibres HR Management team. You will ensure a business-focused people agenda for Timber as well as high quality people processes for the whole unit globally. You will collaborate with UPM and Fibres HR teams to develop people practices and development programs.
In this position, you will proactively
Drive Timber people agenda as a member of Timber Management team
Drive Fibres people development as a member of Fibres HR Management team and in collaboration with UPM HR network
Develop impactful strategic people-related change and development programs across your responsibility area (resourcing & recruitment, talent development, leadership and competence development, engagement, organizational development, performance, change management, compensation & benefits)
Ensure that line management is up-to-date and informed about UPM people processes and policies
Assume responsibility over Timber employee relations and CLA (Collective Labor Agreement)
Who you are
You have a relevant Master’s level university degree
You are a generalist HR professional with minimum of five years of experience from both HR management and HR development
You have previous experience in employee relations and CLA
You have experience in working with managers and management teams
You are enthusiastic about change management, leadership development and organizational development
You are a proactive and results focused person and can see the essential in complex business and organizational environment
You have excellent networking, coaching and influencing skills
You communicate fluently both in Finnish and English
You are ready for regular travel to Timber sawmills in Finland

UPM Timber produces redwood and whitewood sawn timber for the joinery, packaging, distribution, and construction industries. Our sawmills are powered entirely by renewable energy.
