Nets Merchant Services (MS) is a part of Nets Group and is one of the leading providers of payment solutions in Northern Europe. The payment services include payment terminals, acquiring and ecommerce and thereby everything that has anything to do with accepting payments. As one of the leaders, Nets handles payment solutions, information services and digital security, with one of Europe’s most comprehensive and innovative product lines.

MS serves more than 300.000 merchants and by signing an agreement, the merchant can accept payments through Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB and Union Pay. Merchant Services has approximately 550 employees in Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo and Helsinki and the Baltics. We have a strong focus on usability and servicing merchants’ needs with easy to access and easy to use solutions.

The position is to be based out of either Finland or Denmark, and you will be reporting to Head of digital product development (Portals). There will be some travelling in this position, aprox. 20% of the time.

You’re expected to develop your talent and aim higher as you work to change payments. You’ll build on our proven track record of developing and delivering innovative and reliable solutions and our strengths as a Nordic leader with 50 years of experience within payment solutions.

You will be working in a Nordic set-up with stakeholders from Technology, Commercial Management and Customer Service. Your stakeholder skills are of utmost importance since you will need to coordinate your development backlog with several other Product Owners (conducting scrum of scrums) and you will be working closely with distributed development teams placed in India.

The organisation is currently in a transformation phase in the way of working moving from traditional waterfall development towards agile delivery of products by utilizing primarily the Scrum framework.

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Develop and implement your digital product roadmap and secure that the plan is in line with the commercial objectives
  • Partner with UX specialists, designers, developers to scope out the product features and turn them into clear concepts, product specifications and commercial opportunities
  • Secure that the product backlog is visible, communicated and understood by different audiences
  • Act as Product Owner and driving force in the product development team. This includes daily responsibilities such as:
    • Manage and prioritize a backlog
    • Write user stories including acceptance criteria’s
    • Participating in Scrum ceremonies
    • Working closely with the development team your Scrum Master
    • Lead design sprints
  • Collaborating with other Product Owners and carry out Scrum of Scrums
  • On ad hoc basis, participate in projects across Nets.

Your professional qualifications include:

  • Master’s degree (preferably an IT University or Business School) and/or equvilant experience in driving results in large complex organizations.
  • Operating as a digital product owner for some years in a technical/data oriented role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong technical understanding with an eye for and an interest in new trends within Fintech and data driven development
  • Experience with agile methodology and data-informed product development. Ideally you are certified Scrum Professional
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills

The great candidate should also find it interesting to handle large sets of data with a preference of creating mening out of it and understand the value chain.
