Discovery Finland is searching for a Digital Growth Manager for a permanent position, reporting into the Nordic Digital Growth Director. This role is responsible for maximizing and optimizing our business coming from digital products in Finland, with discovery+ as the main focus. You will be part of the Digital Growth team in the Nordic Marketing & D2C department as well as part of the Finnish Operational Team.
Being the Digital Growth Manager in Finland, means you will work closely with all parts of Discovery - both locally in Finland, but also across the Nordics together with the Nordic Growth team, as well as internationally with the EMEA Marketing and Growth teams and other stakeholders. Your main goal is to drive digital business growth for Finland and the Nordics, across SVOD and AVOD business models.
All commercial matters regarding digital services in Finland, focusing on discovery+
Maximizing business coming from paying subscribers on D2C products
Securing effective marketing for digital services in Finland, working in close collaboration with Nordic Performance & Awareness marketing teams
Securing effective windowing and planning strategies for content publishing, working in close collaboration with local planning, content and sport teams
Driving local priorities as key stakeholder for the Finnish digital products with all central teams within Discovery
Securing optimal customer journeys working in close collaboration with the other functional members of the Digital Growth team
Driving new local commercial partnerships for retailing and/or increasing brand awareness of our digital products, as well as support other departments in pitching, implementation, execution and monitoring partnership deals
Minimum 3 years’ experience in digital business management, marketing or business development. Experience from the media industry, and/or digital subscription business is a strong plus
Strong business drive, with entrepreneurial mindset and ability to spot growth opportunities
Confident and driven, comfortable with conducting informal leadership
Exceptional interpersonal skills, relationship management and stakeholder management
Understanding of technical requirements and web development process
Understanding and ability to drive digital marketing/business techniques
Up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends and best practices
A strategic and creative approach to deliver on results
Ability to juggle multiple priorities while working to tight deadlines
A strong team player, collaborating with colleagues in multiple locations
Comfortable working in fast-paced, global matrix environment
Bachelor's or graduate degree in Business or Engineering is preferred, although an equivalent combination of skills, training and hands-on experience is also accepted
