We are now looking for a
for Metsä Fibre’s Business Development Competence Center.
Your role in the future Metsä
As Development Manager, you will be part of the continuous development of Metsä Fibre’s fibre expertise. You will be strongly involved in developing the new fibre-based bioproducts of the future. You will work closely with our external research network, technology experts in the field, customers as well as other actors in the existing and potential new value chains. The work is carried out in development projects as part of a professional and supportive business development team in close cooperation with Metsä Fibre’s other professionals.
You will primarily be working in Metsä Fibre’s pulp mill locality (Joutseno, Kemi, Rauma, Äänekoski) or at our headquarters in Espoo.
What are we looking for?
You have a doctoral degree or master’s degree suitable for the position. You have deep expertise in the structure and properties of chemical pulp fibres, as well as in the chemical and mechanical modification and processing of fibres. You may also have understanding of polymer chemistry, processing and products. Experience in carrying out a new product development and commercialization process or in customer applications is an advantage. We would also expect you to have solid experience in research project work and project management. You are highly interested and capable in developing fibre-based materials and are committed to continuously improving business operations. As a person, you are focused on collaboration and problem-solving, and are self-directed and innovative.
