Stora Enso Energy Services is responsible for operations related to energy procurement and electricity transmission for Stora Enso’s Finnish mill units as well as having a significatn role related to our ownership in Pohjolan Voima Oyj. In addition to these, the organization is also responsible for supervision of interests concerning energy and energy related issues such as energy efficiency, EU’s emissions trading scheme (ETS), and participates into energy sustainability and energy innovation work inside Stora Enso.

We are now looking for Development Manager to join Stora Enso Oyj Energy Services. The position is permanent and located in Imatra, but Helsinki is also negotiable.
Energy Services is a function responsible for providing wide range of expertise related to energy inside Stora Enso. We also have operative responsibilities concerning company’s Group-level energy tasks.
In this role, you will act as a process owner in your own expertise area. Your tasks include:
- Development, mapping and implementation tasks related to EU ETS, energy efficiency, energy markets, energy legislation and energy innovation.
- Mapping and analyzing the effect of energy-related regulations and requirements as well as harvesting of energy market opportunities.
- Being a contact person for Stora Enso's sustainability and environmental organizations.
- Supporting operational and financial processes in the organization.
The role requires readiness to travel mainly in Finland.
We expect you to have:
- MSc degree or equivalent education in an applicable field (pulp/paper, energy or electrical engineering).
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience in energy or forest industry business.
- In addition to Finnish, at the least proficiency in English - other language skills would be an advantage.
Team leading or other supervisor experience is seen as an advantage. It is beneficial if you already have an existing network or networking capabilities.
In addition, we hope that you have excellent cooperation and teamwork abilities, flexibility, initiative and the ability as well as eagerness to own the process.
