We are looking for two ambitious and energetic

Development Managers

to join our Incubator team. The other Development Manager position will focus on Business model and the other on Market & Customer aspects in new business development. These permanent and full-time positions can be located either in Porvoo or Espoo.

Incubator is a growing team in the Neste Innovation function. We ensure growth, renewal and long-term competitiveness of Neste by creating new winning business opportunities in collaboration with partners. We are responsible for the development of new business and technology related opportunities beyond existing businesses for Neste. Our  Incubator team is responsible for developing new significant-scale business opportunities beyond our existing business at Neste Innovation function. In your role as a Development Manager, Business you will be responsible for

  • Development and maturation of new business models and value propositions for identified opportunities in new feedstocks, technologies and products
  • Steering of market, landscape, trend and value chain analyses related to the new business and technology opportunities, and translating results to concrete opportunity proposal
  • Fostering and development of relationships with technology developers, customers, suppliers and other partners 

In your role as a Development Manager, Market & Customer you will be responsible for 

  • Development of new customer relationships and partnerships for Neste in new business opportunities beyond Neste existing business
  • Leading market insight acquisition by working at the customer interface, market scouting, attending conferences and industry events
  • Translating customer and market insight into executable business case proposals
  • Ownership of market, landscape, and trend analyses related to the new business and technology opportunities, and translating results to concrete opportunity proposal
  • Fostering and development of relationships with technology developers, customers, suppliers and other partners 

You will work closely with our experts in the Innovation function and business units as well as with external partners to ensure future competitiveness and growth opportunities for Neste. The position is an excellent vantage point to the different functions in Neste. Our work combines accountability, cooperation, and the desire to develop and renew. Are you in?

Keys to success in these roles

  • The best combination of experiences, skills and background is 
  • Master’s degree or higher in economy, technology or science
  • Solid experience in new business development or R&D in industry or consulting with proven track record
  • Experience and enthusiasm in business development and expertise in customer interface and interaction
  • Customer-driven, opportunity-seeking and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Excellent communication, influencing and networking skills
  • Ability to lead and influence in global matrix organization with cultural awareness, passionate and performance-driven attitude, persistence and commitment
  • Fluency in written and spoken English 

We also value

  • Experience in chemical or energy industry or start-ups
  • Experience in technology or product development
  • Project management skills and experience
  • Solid knowledge of business development tools, methods and practices
