We are currently looking for a new team member who has passion for continual improvement to lead productivity and cost efficiency throughout our organization and ways of working in Oil Products Production.

Development Manager, Operational Excellence Projects

Operational Excellence team is newly formed team of experts with the purpose of driving continual improvement for safety, reliability and productivity throughout our organization and ways of working in Oil Products Production. Support deployment of continual improvement network in the organisation. Is involved in cross functional improvement activities beyond production.

You will work as a development manager in our various development programs, especially focusing on productivity and cost efficiency improvement initiatives.

You main responsibilities are to

  • Lead and coordinate continuous productivity development projects, both investment and ways of working changes
  • Change management support in various projects including e.g. performance dashboard implementation, systematic mass balance management
  • Development and deployment of digital tools
  • Development idea coordination, prioritization, co-creation and management
  • Enable and foster continuous improvement culture in OP Production Supply Chain having main focus in production

The best combination of experiences, skills and background is

  • University level degree (M.Sc.) in Engineering, Technology, Business Administration or similar
  • Broad experience from process or chemical industry
  • Capable of multitasking and hands-on
  • Experience in leading continual improvement programs with proof of successful change leadership and implementation
  • Open minded team player with high ambition level to make an impact
  • Fluency in Finnish and English both written and spoken
  • Experience in investment calculations
  • Experience and/or training in Lean Six Sigma approach

In this position you will work closely together with the whole Oil Products Production organization as well as company internal and external stakeholders to ensure common strategy is successfully implemented. Ability to lead and influence with passionate, performance-driven and customer-oriented attitude across the organization is key to success.

This position will be based at our refinery site in Porvoo. Some travelling is required mainly to our other production and terminal sites in Finland.
