We are looking for a Development Engineer for Supply Chain to join our team of experts in Metso Valves Positioner Factory in Vantaa.
As a Development Engineer, your main responsibility is to develop our processes and IT tools in supply chain, including forecasts and supplier audits. You will analyze data and interact with users to get a full understanding of the development areas. You will present findings and define improvement areas based on those findings.
In addition, you will be responsible of purchases from our key electronic component supplier and work closely with R&D to manage changes and new product introduction within the supply chain.
As a Supply Chain Development Engineer, you will receive support from your colleagues in purchasing, category management, production technology and R&D, and manufacturing - all working together to keep our processes running and our customers satisfied.
To succeed in this position you should have a degree in a relevant area and already some equivalent experience for example in supply chain, purchasing or logistics. We appreciate previous knowledge in electrical and/or mechanical products and purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment. You are IT oriented and you should be experienced with tools such as ERP, SAP, supplier portals, Aton, Microsoft Office. You are able to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
You have great communication skills both in Finnish and in English. Your coordination skills are great and you are tenacious in situations with multiple ongoing projects. You take things forward proactively in good collaboration with others.
This position requires occasional travel in Finland and in Europe.
