Tech stack? We have several technology stacks. Some are running in kubernetes, some are running on virtual machines, but almost everything is running in the cloud. We are in the process of modernising some of the technologies and are constantly replacing old infrastructure with the new technologies.

WHAT’S THE JOB LIKE?
Responsibilities & projects
As DevOps Engineer you are responsible for creating and developing the processes and tools for faster and more reliable delivery of our software components. You have the drive to create and make our processes’ workflow more efficient and you ensure high availability through good infrastructure design as well as metrics and alerting.
You are the team’s go-to person in questions regarding infrastructure choices, automation, and how to write infrastructure code. Also, you are the person, who is the first in line of defence in protecting our cloud infrastructure against external threats.
You have the chance to collaborate closely with colleagues in Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark on cybersecurity threats and on securing our software development lifecycle. This includes aspects both from classic system administration and the automation of them to more modern solutions such as cloudformation, CI/CD pipelines, kubernetes clusters and more.
A key part of your role is to build a thorough understanding of our businesses and infrastructure and identify this way the shortcomings that we can develop. To make all of this happen, you will work closely with our awesome data team together renewing our data pipelines.

WHO ARE YOU?
You are humble and ambitious, feeling at home with our values: win together, be curious and have courage. Your mindset is analytical & problem-solving and you have the ability to quickly identify problems and bottlenecks in our systems.
You have experience working with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle etc.) and ANSI SQL and in Amazon Web Services including Cloudformation and Containers.
Fluency in Linux/Unix including scripting (Bash) and in a development language (e.g Golang, Python).
You have some experience in security engineering and an interest in learning more.
You also have experience in deployment/configuration management (e.g Git, Jira, Travis, Jenkins, Artifactory, Spinnaker).
You are fluent in written and spoken English, since it’s our company language.
You have an understanding of cyber security best practices.

1. 45 min meeting with Simon, the hiring manager (get to know each other, role goals & expectations, your background & skills).
2. 45 min meeting with the team (get to know each other & the daily work and understand your skillset better) + possibly a separate home assignment.
3. 30-45 min chat with the People & Culture Specialist Elisa (company culture, values & learning and development) and 30 min chat with CTO Nicolas (Tech team overall).
