As a Design Engineer, you will focus on executing and supporting the transition from traditional drawing-based design to Model-Based Definition (MBD) within the organization. Your key tasks will include working as a designer, utilizing MBD guiding and assisting designers in adopting MBD practices, participating in design reviews, and collaborating with suppliers and manufacturing teams on product specification and assembly planning. Additionally, you will provide strategic input on software, equipment, and training decisions to enhance the design process related to MBD. In a dynamic and collaborative environment, your skills will drive innovation and efficiency, helping to accelerate MBD adoption across the company.

Work tasks
- Perform design tasks using 3D product models in accordance with MBD practices
- Guide and support designers in transitioning from drawing-based to MBD
- Participate in design reviews and collaborate with stakeholders on product specifications
- Assist in decision-making regarding MBD-related acquisitions and technology
- Monitor industry trends and represent the company at relevant conferences and events
We are looking for
- A technical educational background
- 2+ years of experience in using MBD, with hands-on exposure to 3D product manufacturing information and participation in design reviews or process planning
- Motivation to learn and develop, with strong problem-solving skills
- Fluency in English
Previous experience and/or knowledge of working with engines is seen as an advantage.
